Piccolo and Clark Break Through at Sawmill

Under 15 Division

evanclark2Evan Clark of the St. Catharines Golf & Country Club returned to the winner circle for the first time in 2014 playing steady golf at the beautifully conditioned Sawmill Golf Course on Thursday, August 14th. Using nines of 38 – 38 to record a four over par 76, it was good enough for a two stroke victory over runner-up Sparky MacLean also of the same club. Third spot was taken by Ethan Siebert of Peninsula Lakes at 79, fourth was Justin Dicienzo of St. Catharines at 82 and fifth was Jason Maloney of Twenty Valley.

Under 19 Division

Sam Piccolo of Lookout Point Country Club returned to the winner circle at Sawmill firing a one over par 72 over the challenging layout. Using a stretch of four birdies in a row on the back nine, Piccolo edged Jaret Chipman of St. Catharines by 2 shots as Jaret shot 74. There was a four way tie for 3rd at 77 between Drew Athoe of Bridgewater, Peter Leone of Thundering Waters, James Martin of Lookout Point and Devon Neudorf of St. Catharines

Girls Division

Maddi-Trophy-624x496Madeline Marck-Sherk continued her winning ways on the Niagara Junior Tour carding a 75 at Sawmill to nip Alexandra Taylor by a single shot. Using nines of 39- 36 Madeline continued her impressive summer run on the links. Alexandra had nines of 40- 36 to post the second place finish. Both girls are from Bridgewater Country Club. Third spot was taken by Sukriti Harjai at 79, fourth was Emily Ward of Rolling Meadows at 81 and fifth was Courtney White of Bridgewater. Ana Kolb a guest from Germany recorded an 82.

nolanpsmNolan Piazza captured the under 13 division at Sawmill shooting 89 second was Alex Repar at 96 and third was Adam Caligiuri at 97. Max Kolb a guest from Germany fired a 80.
