The Niagara Junior Tour had it’s second event of the year at Rolling Meadows Golf Course in Niagara Falls on Wednesday, July 8th. The course was in immaculate shape thanks to Ted Bishop and his staff and the clubhouse staff was its usual gracious hostsĀ  with so many thanks to Mike Harris. The players truly enjoyed the test of golf and there were some fine scores and some new winners.

Under 19 Division

freddiegsmOnce again the Under 19 division needed a playoff to determine the winner. Three players tied at 71, Freddie Gualtieri of Lookout Point, Andrew Pauls and Nolan vonKalekreuth of Bridewater. The playoff was held on the demanding 18th hole and after a wayward drive right, Freddie stuck his approach shot to 8 feet. Nolan hit his ball long from the right rough and was faced with a tough up and down. Andrew hit the front of the green a long distance away and after leaving his first putt a fair distance from the hole he calmly rolled it in for his par. After Nolan had made a bogey the stage was set for Freddie to putt for the win. His putt found the center of the hole for Freddie’s first victory on the Niagara Junior tour.

Tied for fourth were Justin Dicienzo, Jake Dupuis and Eric MacLean
