Two members of the Niagara Junior Tour completed very successful runs and the recently completed Ontario Junior Championships.
Aaron Black of Twenty Valley Golf Course played very steady golf over the four days to place tied 7th at the Ontario Junior Boys played on the Timberwolf Golf Course in Sudbury. Despite early weather challenges Aaron fired rounds of 74-75-74-71 for 294 and a great showing in the provincial Championships. He now earns a spot in the Canadian Junior Championships being held at the Legends on the Niagara Battlefield Course July 28 to August 1st.
Also earning a spot was Hanish Nagrani of Lookout Point who use an even par 72 last round to vault from 49th to tied 30th. Other local players that played in the championship that unfortunately missed the cut were Sam Piccolo 81-81, Vincent Dicosimo 87-76, Jaret Chipman 90-76, Peter Leone 83-85 and Jordan Lisko 85-85.
Madeline Marck-Sherk of Bridgewater Country Club tied for 10th at the Ontario Junior Girls Championship held at the Maple City Golf Course in Chatham Ontario firing rounds of 74-79-81-74 for 308. Madeline will also be competing in the Canadian Junior Girls Championship being held at the Thornhill Golf & Country Club July 28th to August 1.
